Job Description

Class Description

Teach online, remote instruction, day and/or evening courses in Legal Studies, such as Legal Research & Writing, Introduction to Law, or a substantive law area, such as Torts, Civil Litigation, etc. Adjunct Faculty are selected based on the needs of the program, applicant proficiency, course availability, and student enrollment.

Minimum Requirements

A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited U.S. law school.  A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a practicing attorney. Prior work experience supervising paralegals or working with or as a paralegal. Prior teaching experience preferred.

Class Specific Essential Duties

Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver course instruction, follow common course outlines and policies, utilize the CCBC learning management system, grade, critique and evaluate student work, provide timely feedback to students, keep and submit accurate classroom records, communicate with the discipline coordinator, and attend required training sessions, professional development and departmental meetings. 

Pay Rate - $935 per credit hour
